New Patients

The first appointment with Dr. Adatya is up to 1 hour and subsequent appointments range from 15 mins to 30 minutes in length depending on your specific health concerns. Typically during the initial visits Dr. Adatya will take a detailed history of your current and past health concerns, conduct a physical exam and use information from laboratory tests to make an assessment and diagnosis. With the patient’s input, a personalized treatment plan will be proposed to help facilitate achieving your health goals.

Health Insurance Coverage
Most extended health insurance plans in both Canada and the United States cover naturopathic treatments. Insured patients are encouraged to contact their employer or individual insurance brokers to determine if they are covered and to request that their policy be extended to include naturopathic services if it does not already do so. Since Naturopathic Doctors use alternatives to costly techniques and drug therapies, more insurance companies are beginning to investigate expanding coverage of this cost effective treatment method. Naturopathic Medicine is currently not covered by any of the provincial health plans.

Making an Appointment
You do not require a referral to see Dr. Adatya. To book an appointment:

1. Contact the clinic at 1-604-224-2124 or 1-800-995-0299 (outside of B.C.).

2. Download and fill out one of the New Patient Intake forms specific to you and bring it along to your first appointment. For those needing a phone consultation, you can fax your form directly to the clinic at
1-604-224-2128.

3. It is helpful to bring along copies of previous tests, lab results and the names of any medications or natural supplements you are currently taking. You may be asked to also fill out a medical release form so we can requisition previous lab results.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted 48 hours before scheduled date of appointment. Missed appointments are charged one half of the cost of the appointment.

Payment Policy & Fees: Payment is due at the time of service, when lab tests are ordered, and when prescribed medicines are delivered. Payment for special order medicines are due when the order is picked up or delivered. The clinic accepts all major credit cards, interact, cash and cheques. Please call the clinic to inquire about fees.

Emergencies: In case of an emergency during regular office hours, first call the clinic; if you receive voicemail or call outside of our business hours, dial 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.

The clinic is located in Kistalano, Vancouver on West Broadway & Trafalgar, between Semperviva &a Foot Solutions and across from Dairy Queen.

Clinic Hours:
The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5pm. We are closed on the weekends and on major holidays.

Please check with the clinic regarding further scheduled closures, including the Doctor’s vacation time and planned CME absences.

Parking Information:
Parking is free in the underground parkade located between the Clinic & Semperviva. Please use the first 4 stalls only. Metered parking is also available on the street.
